About Our School
The Mission of the Tuckerton Elementary School, in cooperation with our community, is to provide for all students a safe and nurturing environment. We will empower our students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to think critically, respect others and themselves, and achieve the New Jersey Student Learning Standards at all grade levels.
Tuckerton Elementary School is located in Tuckerton Borough, a small, tranquil community in Southern Ocean County which is located approximately twenty-five miles north of Atlantic City and sixty miles east of the state capital, Trenton. The borough's population is approximately 3,200. Tuckerton is famous for its clamming, fishing and crabbing activities. Visits to the Baymen's Museum and the annual Decoy Show will allow one to experience the rich history of the seaport community. Scattered throughout the community are old churches, historic points of interest and landmarks.
The Tuckerton Elementary School has a student population of 300 children housed in the PreK-6 educational facility. Each class is taught by a grade level teacher in a self-contained unit supported by a staff of special teachers for art, music, physical education, special needs, world language, media, and technology.
