  • NJDOE Literacy Series: This website is part of the NJ Department of Education’s Division of Early Childhood Services’ virtual series of conversations for families interested in supporting the learning and development of their young child from birth to 6 years old. Tips, best practices, and valuable links to resources for families are shared .

Special Needs

  • Mom2Mom:. The Mom2Mom helpline connects moms of special needs children and adults with moms of a similar circumstance who are specially trained in peer counseling and crisis support, making them uniquely qualified to offer relevant and realistic guidance and support by offering guidance and access to a professional provider network of resources.
  • NJ Disability Information Hub: Caregivers of individuals with disabilities serve an important role as part of the care team, providing support with daily activities and, in many cases, serving as a coordinator of other support services, such as healthcare. Included on this website are Special Child & Education Services, Adult Care Resources, Personal Care Services and Community Resources.
  • PerformCare: Through the New Jersey Children's System of Care, PerformCare connects youth and their families to the care they need to participate and thrive within their homes, schools, and community environments.
  • SPAN Parent Advocacy Network: SPAN empowers families as advocates and partners in improving education, health/mental health and human services outcomes for infants, toddlers, children, youth and young adults with the greatest needs, including those with disabilities and special healthcare needs.. Through the activities of these programs, they provide families and professionals with the resources and support needed to ensure that children become fully participating and contributing members of communities and society.

They can also help you apply or get recertified for SNAP benefits.
  • Connecting New Jersey: Connecting NJ is a network of partners and agencies dedicated to helping New Jersey families thrive. Families, caregivers, and guardians are provided free or affordable access to people, organizations, and other sources of information needed to raise healthy children.
  • Need Help Paying Bills: This website provides links to verified assistance programs including charities, local churches, the government and countless other organizations offering free items or help for those that are struggling to pay bills.
  • NJ 211: NJ 211 is a trusted resource for connecting individuals and families with vital community services. It is a comprehensive NJ information and referral organization, dedicated to helping residents navigate life’s challenges, from housing and food assistance to healthcare and disaster support.
  • NJ Department of Human Services Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services: The New Jersey Directory of Mental Health Services provides information related to community programs funded by the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Information is sorted by the type of program service.
  • NJ Family Care: NJ FamilyCare is a federal and state funded health insurance program created to help qualified New Jersey residents of any age access affordable health insurance. NJ FamilyCare is for people who do not have employer insurance.
  • The Children's Home Society of New Jersey: The Children’s Home Society of New Jersey is a nonprofit organization that helps at-risk infants, children, youth, and families achieve their potential.
